Madison Elementary's motto -- Be the very best person you can be -- speaks to our staff's commitment to helping children reach their full potential. Our instruction enriches children intellectually, emotionally, socially and physically. It starts children along a path of life-long learning.
Madison is the centerpiece of a vibrant, north St. Cloud community. During the day our classrooms hum with hands-on lessons that challenge youngsters' higher-level thinking skills. After-school academic activities and KidStop, a K-6 child care program, keep our rooms and hallways busy until supper time.
Our namesake, James Madison, drafted the first 10 amendments to the U.S. Constitution, known as the Bill of Rights. It is fitting that the Madison community rigorously upholds the ideas and behaviors contained in that sacred document, including respect for the right to believe as one chooses, support for minority points of view and freedom of expression.
A 70,000 square-foot K-5 building, Madison rests on the northeast corner of a seven-acre site. We have two gymnasiums, a spacious media center and large play areas.
